Welcome to Dinner and a Playlist.
Come with me as I explore restaurants and cafes by conducting interviews with staff and patrons, critiquing dishes, and matching the general atmosphere to a playlist of music.
I want to combine all of my interests in to one blog; meeting people, learning history, eating food, traveling, and music.
My goal is to take you, the reader, along with me on my never-ending journey to satisfy my palette by recreating the atmosphere of each unique place.
So, who am I?
I’m Lauren MacLeod. I like backpacking, yoga, running, dancing, reading, writing, and mutual smiles.
I am a Journalism major at California Polytechnic State University, concentrating in What Am I Going To Do With My Life. Proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma…GO GREEK
I have been a vegetarian for the past year, so you will probably notice a general meatless trend throughout the posts.
I do my best to have an open heart and an open mind.
I get myself into trouble. But hey; at least I’m making memories.
To start this blog off right, here’s a playlist that I hope embodies me:
Old Before Your Time: Ray Lamontagne
All You Need is Love: The Beatles
Be Still: The Killers
The Age of Worry: John Mayer
Crazy Beautiful Life: Ke$ha (curveball!)
All the best,
Lolo
